This is both an exciting and threatening time for our industry. The number of students entering the accounting profession is down and it is critical that we provide encouragement and support to potential accounting students. Education is our best defense and that is why the Montana Society of CPAs Education Endowment Fund was created.
The Society established a permanent endowment through the Montana Community Foundation in 2000 as an investment in our future. Net income generated by the fund will be used to provide scholarships to students at Montana colleges and universities who are majoring in accounting, finance or business. As the endowment grows, special programs for high school students and other educational programs may also be established.
