MSCPA Legislative College If Legislators don’t hear from CPAs on tax and business issues where will they get their information?
This legislative session has the potential make a huge impact on you and your clients/your business. Legislators rely heavily on the information they receive from their constituents to make the right decisions when casting their vote. If they don’t hear from CPAs on tax and business issues where will they get their information? Your voice, your expertise and your involvement are crucial.
That’s why the Montana Society of CPAs has created a two-hour class we call The Legislative College. This class, taught by attorney and lobbyist Ed Bartlett, will walk you through the legislative process; make it less intimidating and more encouraging to share your expertise. During this course you will learn what the Legislature does and what, when, how and why you can and should be involved.
The Legislative College is scheduled on the dates below to best prepare Montana CPAs for the January start date of the session. There is no cost to attend (other than lunch, if applicable) and participants will receive two hours of CPE. Please click on the RSVP links below to sign up for the College and/or receive more information.

MONTANA CAREER OPPORTUNITY NIGHTS
Montana Career Opportunity Nights give you an opportunity to talk directly to the accounting students about your company and the career opportunities you offer. Each employer gives a short presentation about their company and receives a table/booth space where students can visit with you. Spaces are still available at the MSU-Billings event (Oct 9th) and the MSU Bozeman event (Nov 6th). For more information contact Margaret Herriges.
