MSCPA volunteers are the heart and soul of the Society.

The projects they undertake are essential to the advancement of the profession and help shape the very future of the business environment in Montana.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Annual Conference Planning Task Force

    The Annual Conference is a celebration of CPAs and a great opportunity to learn, make new friends and have a blast doing it all.

    • Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour conference call each month September through January plus May & June and attendance at the conference.
    • Volunteers Needed: 10

  • BING Niche Group

    Niche Groups are like brain trusts for a specific segment of our demographics, designed to make sure MSCPA is on point with the issues within a specific area of the profession. These groups will meet annually (or as needed), either in person or via conference call. The ideas generated by these groups will be assigned to committees/task forces/strike forces.

    • Time Commitment: 1 in-person meeting and possible 1-2 conference calls

  • Industry Conference Planning Task Force

    The Industry Conference makes a HUGE difference to those CPAs and accountants working in business, industry, nonprofit and government (BING). Be a part of the team that brings amazing education and opportunities to our BING members.

    • Time Commitment: In person meeting - one day in September; 1 hour conference call each month October through March.
    • Volunteers Needed: 20

  • Professional Development Course Selection Task Force

    The most effective and valuable CPE is based on the subject areas our members most need. Be a representative of your industry and your peers and help pick the best learning experiences for the coming year.

    • Time Commitment: 1.5 days in person in September plus one conference call, several emails requests about topics.
    • Volunteers Needed: 20

  • Raising the BAR Niche Group

    Niche Groups are like brain trusts for a specific segment of our demographics, designed to make sure MSCPA is on point with the issues within a specific area of the profession. These groups will meet annually (or as needed), either in person or via conference call. The ideas generated by these groups will be assigned to committees/task forces/strike forces.

    • Time Commitment: 1 in-person meeting and a few conference calls
    • Requirements: Age 35 and under.
    • Volunteers Needed: 25
