Julie Curd is the owner at her accounting firm, Julie Curd, CPA. She has over 25 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, as well as experience in private industry. Julie has an extensive background in many areas of tax law such as agriculture, estates, tax-exempt organizations, businesses, and individuals. Julie recently worked with Edward Kerins, CPA. She also managed the Helena, Montana office of Tompkins & Peters CPAs, P.C.
Julie is an active member of Soroptimist International of Helena. She is a past president, has served on the Board of Directors for seven years and held numerous other offices. She has been a 4-H Club leader and was treasurer and board member of Helena's Family Outreach Program for several years. Prior community activities include Helena Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Helena, and Helena Homebuilders Association. Julie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants where she has served on various committees. She was a charter member of the American Society of Women Accountants in Helena, Montana.
Julie graduated from the Montana State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She received her Certified Public Accountant's License in 1978 and is a practicing CPA licensed in Montana (CPA#1274). Julie and her husband have three children and she enjoys outdoor activities, reading and traveling.
