Instructor Bio

Joshua Herbold (Josh)

Josh Herbold, CPA, is an associate professor of accounting and the KPMG Faculty Fellow at the University of Montana’s School of Business. His research is primarily psychology-related and examines the judgments and decisions of accountants and users of accounting information. He currently teaches courses in both financial and managerial accounting, but occasionally has classes that cover decision making and other business topics.

He received both his undergraduate and graduate accounting degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a CPA in the state of Montana, and in 2013, Josh received the Jack Kempner Outstanding Educator Award at the 100th Annual Meeting. Josh has become a popular speaker at MSCPA conventions and the innovator behind the “Success in Montana” panel discussions.
