Salary Survey

Each year, MTCPA conducts a salary survey of its members for the accounting profession. The survey is usually sent out around July and ends in August. Members should participate in the survey as individuals - not firms, companies, or organizations.

Even Years - BING: The main purpose of this survey is to capture salary and benefit information from business, industry, government and non-profit (BING) areas of the accounting profession.

Odd Years - ALL: The main purpose of this survey is to capture salary and benefit information from ALL areas of the accounting profession (public practice, industry, government and non-profit).

The compiled results of the survey are made available to all those who participate by completing the survey along with entering their contact information. A participant may submit anonymously, but would then not receive the results. All answers are always kept confidential.

Non-participants may purchase the results for $250. The report breaks out the average salaries by gender for: Title, Organization Size, Industry, Years Experience and Location in MT. It compares year to year 2019, 2021, and this year 2023. Charts and graphs included.
